Rose River Memorial
September 28, 2021 | Inner-City Arts is honored to feature the latest Rose River Memorial art installation on our campus. This community art movement honors and grieves the many lives lost during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States by creating felt roses as a symbol of grief for every life lost. The Rose River Memorial project gives the community the tools to work through grief and find healing and positivity. The installation, set in motion by Los Angeles-based artist, Marcos Lutyens, is growing day by day and the aim is to display the roses in Washington DC as we collectively honor all those lost to COVID-19 throughout the nation.
