At the start of Fall Session 1, we launched a new partnership with Children’s Institute, Inc.(CII), one of LA’s largest child welfare agencies, to offer arts opportunities to more students living in areas neighboring the CII Otis Booth campus just west of Downtown.
Through four new visual and media arts studio classes taught by our very own teaching artists, the satellite program will serve approximately 250 new students this Fall, an expected 375 students in Winter 2018 and 500 students in Spring 2018, extending our impact to more than 1,000 new students within the first year of partnership!
Two weeks ago, we wrapped up our first Fall Session in true Inner-City Arts fashion with a culmination day, showcasing completed student projects to an audience of parents, family members, friends and classmates.
